FAQ

Q.  I don't think I can make it but I'd like to contribute in some way.
A.  A few classmates have graciously offered additional monetary support to help us pull this off.  Look for the “Make a Donation” link at the bottom of any of our reunion website pages.

Q. What will my donation be used for?
A. We have a modest budget which may not provide for all the contingencies that can arise with an event of this scale so we may need that kind of help. Some donors have suggested their contribution be discretely used to cover a dinner reservation, maybe a motel room, for a classmate who might be going if they were in a better place financially.

Q.  Will I need to show proof of a COVID vaccination if I'm coming?
A.  No, and as of June 7th, Portsmouth has dropped the mask mandate. Bear in mind this positive situation could change and participants attending any reunion event must comply with any health restrictions in place at the time of event(s), which may include masking and/or distancing.

Q.  What’s the cost of the tickets?
A.  The dinner at the Elks is $60pp. The Friday "Meet and Greet" is $15pp.

Q.  When is the latest I can sign up for reunion events?
A.  July 31 is the cut-off date so we can give our vendors the required time to set up our events.  We expect the main event will fill up early, so register as soon as you can.

Q.  Can I put together my own foursome for the Friday golf scramble?
A.  Tournament Director Jeff Abrams has explicitly stated, "This is meant to be a fun event". To that end, the answer is no. Sorry Tiger.

Q.  Will there be dancing at the reunion?
A.  We'll be using the entire floor for dining tables so we can spread out the crowd a bit. As the evening goes on, we just might move around some furniture and turn up the playlist.

Q.  I see that you have me listed as deceased on the "In Memory" page. I am really very much alive. Can you help?
A.  We'll get you off that list right away. Anyone, please Contact us with complaints in this regard.

Q.  Does the Saturday morning kayak tour go if the weather is bad? I don't want to pay for this if the weather's gonna be crappy.
A.  Liz over at Seven Rivers Paddling says the group will go out as long as conditions are safe and enjoyable, and always in protected areas. We could have glorious sunshine, patches of fog, light chop, or a rain shower. If Seven Rivers Paddling cancels the session, they will transfer your reservation to another date, or refund your payment.

Q.  My date and I are going to the Meet and Greet at Pease Friday evening. After a drink or two, can we then move inside to Grill 28 for a full meal?
A.  Grill 28 has advised us they will be at capacity inside the restaurant with their usual Friday evening crowd, so there is no guarantee they can seat you for dinner. Check out the "About Town" page for a few nearby alternatives.
